Unfortunately hotel rates in San Francisco the weekend of the Bar Mitzvah are sky high, so we recommend you stay close to us in Pacifica. We were able to get a group rate at the Lighthouse Best Western Plus. The hotel is in a beautiful location right next to the ocean at Rockaway Beach [map]. Room rates are listed below. I recommend the “suites” for two or more people per room. They’re not really suites, but large rooms and the prices vary depending on the views. When you call say you are with the Sam Travers bar mitzvah party. Rates are good until September 20^th.

Fireplace Jr. Suite: $177.00 per night

Ocean Skyline Jr. Suite: $177.00 per night

Courtyard Jr. Suite:  $160.00 per night.

The per night group rate is based on double occupancy and there is an additional charge of $10.00 for third or fourth adult. Saturday October 20^th, 2012 is a two night minimum. A maximum of 5 rooms may be booked for Saturday night only!

Please inform your attendees to call the hotel directly at 650-355-6300 and identify themselves as participants of the Sam Travers Bar Mitzvah group to ensure the special rates quoted above.

The cutoff date for this special group rate is September 20^th, 2012. After this time The Lighthouse Hotel cannot guarantee availability, but will make every effort to accommodate late requests.

Another alternative in Pacifica is the Holiday Inn Express in Rockaway Beach,where our visitors have always stayed in the past. I couldn’t get a reasonable group rate and everything is done through the main office. The number is 1 800 315 2621 but you might be better off using an online service instead like Expedia, Hotels.com, etc.
